so we have got gone through the dpw, dbi approved the plans. we haven't quite got it all signed off because we were told to stop on it somewhere along the line when the dbi permit got approved. we did the load studies for the people coming and going and access and push bars and the keys. so it's pretty easy to walk in and out of the door, it works and it can be accessible, if it needs to be. i'm not sure how you would get a wheelchair in the building once it's in there, but it's not a problem. we have to do something with the grade there, but we haven't finished a lot of this stuff and somebody was talking about the structure. we haven't completed it because we were told to stop on it. which they are all pretty simple things to complete, the structure. i think it's a good thing for the building. it keeps them clean and safe and it's for our tenants and we have to provide a clean and quiet and safe place for our tenants, who are stuck in the middle there. i don't live there, but i do see the problems and know the cost it takes to keep it cleaned

you know, i applied with the dpw last november. that is when i started the permit process and i was given a hearing date in april. you know, i got my health and fire department permits granted in april of this year. and then my hearing went kind of went off without a hitch and i was granted permits by the dpw. unfortunately the permits were appealed bit rincon center group and lasted until august of this year. i think the point i'm trying to make here is from start to finish to get my permits in place was ten months. and as a small business owner it's such a long time. and i know there is a backlog of so many other things that the dpw deals with. it's just my hope that this new legislation will help streamline the process going forward, and really shorten that time period down for everyone. >> great thank you very much. >> thank you very much. >> [ reading speakers' names ] >> hi commissioners i'm an owner and operator of tres tequila lounge. we have been open as a brick-and-mortar restaurant for seven years in the soma district by

other work we've done worked with dpw to develop an initial design concept for that connector road to show it's a feasible concept. we've done two rounds of extensive community outreach to share our work as well as interagency coordination with dpw, mta, cal train as well as other local agency partners. diving a little more into the community outreach we've done, we have worked through two prerobust rounds of outreach. first of those were back in spring. we did an open house and other presentation to present the work we had done in the first few months after we got that appropriation and get the community's feedback. we came back to the community in november to present our draft back recommendation how we incorporated a lot of that community feedback before coming here to the board. each of those rounds included an open house with pretty good solid participation as well as notification for that each round including multilingual efforts with efforts to everyone within a half a mile. additional fliers and businesses, neighborhoods, churches, community groups to cover wider radius. then

we appeared before dpw on june 6 and we were told there would be a verdict two weeks later. we have been waiting since and we being a dozen people showed up for the first hearing, 10 people showed up for the second, none of us were notified with the exception of mr. bob bessa who last week received a phone call from supervisor campos' office. dpw promised to let us know in two weeks and this notice arrived saturday for this hearing today. there are fuer russ people in our group and the northeast slope who were unable to rearrange their work scheduled for monday to be here. we definitely need a continuance. that's the first point i'd like to make. the second point is one illustrated by the overhead, if you would please switch to the overhead. now, this is the proposed garage and the proposed cut for the driveway. what you are not seeing is the existing wall and the existing curb, which stop the water from flowing into the houses down on hampshire that is our main objection and has always been our objection. we have seen this curb cut. it is not going to be adequate to stop th
